The Glass House
A single gesture of glass and steel, suspended eighty feet above the Pacific — The Glass House is Point Dume's most uncompromising expression of California modernism.
Completed in 2021 and never before offered, the residence was conceived as a pavilion rather than a house: a floating steel roof plane over nine thousand square feet of museum-finished interiors, wrapped on three sides by floor-to-ceiling glass that retracts entirely along the western elevation.
The great room opens to a seventy-five-foot infinity edge pool that appears to pour into the ocean below. A subterranean gallery level — with theater, tasting room, and wellness suite — is carved directly into the bluff, kept at constant temperature by the earth itself.
The primary suite occupies its own glass wing: a private court garden on the entry side, whitewater views from Point Dume to Palos Verdes on the other. Staff quarters, a detached studio, and gated motor court for ten complete the offering.
