Our Story

Built by people who
ran out of closets.

We're Elena and Marcus Nowak, and we grew up eight blocks from here in a classic brick bungalow — a beautiful house with roughly one closet per generation. Our dad ran a hardware store off Milwaukee Avenue; we spent childhood weekends rearranging its back room like a puzzle.

In 2012 we bought the old furniture warehouse at Six Corners and turned it into the storage we wished our family had: bright, warm, honest about prices, and run by people whose names you know. Twelve years later, most new neighbors arrive the same way you probably did — somebody on the block told them.

The Facility

An old warehouse, aging gracefully.

Three floors, 740 units, one covered loading bay, and more skylights than any storage building has a right to. Come take the five-minute tour — it does more convincing than this website ever will.

What you'll notice on the tour

  • Skylights and warm LED strips — no flickering fluorescent gloom
  • Corridors wide enough for two carts to pass without a standoff
  • The climate plant humming behind glass, holding 68°F
  • Cameras you can count, on every corridor and door

The Team

Three people. No phone tree.

Call during office hours and a human who works in the building picks up — usually by the second ring, usually Elena.

  • Elena Nowak

Co-founder — the voice that answers the phone

  • Marcus Nowak

    Co-founder — building, systems & security

  • Dee Alvarez

Front desk, supplies shop & resident greeter
